Micro League of The Northwest Gala Cancelled

The North West Micro League committee has been reviewing the ever changing situation regarding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The government yesterday announced that it is stepping up its response to the coronavirus aimed at delaying its spread, rather than trying contain the spread.
As an organisation we have a duty and responsibility to try and protect our athletes, officials, teachers, coaches, volunteers as much as possible, we are also duty bound to ensure we have the best interest of staff at our pool providers and the wider community at heart.
Taking all of the above into consideration, the difficult decision has been made to postpone the Micro League fixtures for the foreseeable future. We have a number of galas both this weekend and next which are affected. We will continue to review the situation and make a decision about the rest of the fixtures once more information is available. The committee will be working over the coming weeks to understand the implications of this and develop a plan. We can't be any clearer at the moment as to the long term plan and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
